# Terms and Conditions
Effective date: July 20, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Kickdoor Comedy website, Comedy Passport, ticketing services, events, and related services operated by Kickdoor Comedy Ltd., doing business as Kickdoor Comedy (“Kickdoor,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using the website, creating a Comedy Passport, reserving or purchasing tickets, or attending a Kickdoor event, you agree to these Terms.
## 1. Contact information
Legal business name: Kickdoor Comedy Ltd.
Business address: 608 Union Street, Vancouver BC.
Email: hello@kickdoorcomedy.com
Website: https://www.kickdoorcomedy.com
## 2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of entering into an agreement to use our services. If an event has an age restriction, you must satisfy that restriction and may be required to present valid government-issued identification.
## 3. Comedy Passport accounts
A Comedy Passport allows you to access tickets, event information, check-in codes, and other member features.
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information;
- Keep access to your email account and login links secure;
- Not share authentication links, session tokens, or check-in credentials;
- Notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable safeguards.
We may suspend or terminate accounts used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.
## 4. Tickets and reservations
Tickets are valid only for the event, date, and quantity shown at the time of purchase or reservation.
Tickets and check-in codes may not be duplicated, altered, resold contrary to applicable law, or used for fraudulent entry. Admission may be denied when a ticket has already been redeemed, is invalid, or was obtained fraudulently.
Unless stated otherwise, purchasing multiple tickets does not require all guests to arrive simultaneously. Each ticket may be checked in separately.
## 5. Prices and payment
Prices are displayed in Canadian dollars unless indicated otherwise. Applicable taxes and fees will be shown before checkout.
Payments may be processed by Squarespace and its payment-processing partners. Kickdoor does not directly receive or store complete payment-card numbers.
You agree to provide valid payment information and authorize the applicable charges.
## 6. Refunds, cancellations, and changes
Event details, performers, venues, and schedules may change.
If Kickdoor cancels an event, ticket holders will receive the remedy described in the event listing, checkout terms, or cancellation notice, subject to applicable law.
For postponed or rescheduled events, purchased tickets may remain valid for the replacement date. We will provide available options when a material change occurs.
Customer-requested refunds are governed by the refund policy disclosed at checkout or in the applicable event listing: https://www.kickdoorcomedy.com/refunds.
Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights available under applicable consumer-protection law.
## 7. Secret event locations
Some events use undisclosed venues. General location information may be provided first, with the full address released closer to showtime.
You agree not to publicly distribute a secret venue address before the event without our permission. This helps protect the venue, performers, attendees, and event operation.
A venue address or arrival instruction may change. Check your Comedy Passport and recent Kickdoor communications before travelling.
## 8. Event conduct and safety
Attendees must:
- Follow venue rules and reasonable staff instructions;
- Treat performers, staff, guests, and neighbours respectfully;
- Avoid harassment, violence, threats, disruptive conduct, and unlawful activity;
- Comply with applicable alcohol, smoking, and safety laws.
We may refuse admission or remove a person whose behaviour creates a safety risk, materially disrupts the event, violates venue rules, or infringes these Terms. Refunds may be denied when removal results from the attendee’s conduct, subject to applicable law.
If you require accessibility information or accommodation, contact us at hello@kickdoorcomedy.com.
## 9. Photography and recording
Event-specific photography or recording rules will be communicated where applicable.
You may not commercially record, reproduce, livestream, or distribute a performance without permission from Kickdoor and the relevant performers.
If we intend to capture identifiable promotional photography or video, we will provide appropriate notice and, where required, obtain consent.
## 10. Communications
We may send transactional messages necessary to operate your account or deliver purchased services, including login links, receipts, event updates, venue details, security notices, and cancellation information.
We will send promotional event announcements where we have an appropriate basis and will provide an unsubscribe mechanism where required. Unsubscribing from promotional messages does not prevent necessary transactional communications.
## 11. Intellectual property
The Kickdoor Comedy name, logos, website design, artwork, written content, and event materials are owned by or licensed to Kickdoor and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit this material without written permission, except as allowed by law.
## 12. Third-party services
Our services may rely on third parties, including Squarespace, Supabase, email providers, mapping services, payment processors, and event venues.
Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third party’s independent services, policies, outages, or conduct, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
## 13. Availability and changes
We do not guarantee that the website, Passport, ticketing system, or QR check-in service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We will try to minimize disruption to existing purchases and reservations.
## 14. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the website and digital services are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every event, performer, venue, feature, or announcement will remain available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, conditions, or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
## 15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Kickdoor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the website or attendance at an event.
Our total liability relating to a purchased ticket will not exceed the amount paid for that ticket, except where applicable law does not permit that limitation or where loss results from conduct that cannot legally be limited.
## 16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, or expenses resulting from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or misuse of the services.
## 17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts located in British Columbia will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law permits proceedings elsewhere.
## 18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to our services, business, or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted with a revised effective date.
Material changes will be communicated where reasonably appropriate.
