Formerly located in the heart of Vancouver’s historic Gastown, and now thriving on the wild frontier of our ever evolving Chinatown, this GastroPub has garnered many accolades for its service, food, alcohol, & ambiance since 1997. In a world filled with “Plastic Paddy” establishments, the Heather stands out as a beacon of authenticity. An Irish House that is owned by Irish people who actually work there… How refreshing! The Heather aims to satisfy with a kitchen that knows just how to match comfort with creativity, proper pints, an extensive Whisk(e)y menu that has to be seen to be believed, a revolving selection of in-house events from special menus to live music, as well as some of the best conversation and connection on offer in Vancouver. UPSTAIRS you will find our Shebeen and gastropub, with the bar, a selection of themed snugs, and our long table at the back, ripe for creating shared memories. DOWNSTAIRS we have the Scéal Eile, which is is Gaelic for "Another Story", So, it's like the Heather but also different. Offering total privacy, with it's own entrance, restrooms, bar, etc, it is the perfect spot to book for your private events and celebrations. Check the events page for our revolving music events. In the summer we have a fine PATIO out front for people watching in the sun.
